About Me

Hi, I’m Zachary Talbot, an MBA candidate at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business, concentrating in Finance and graduating in Spring 2026.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Political Science from UMass Amherst, where I originally planned to pursue law in the gaming industry. Over time, I realized I was more interested in how companies grow and how capital supports creative work, which led me to pivot toward finance and investing.

At UF, I’ve focused on building a strong foundation in valuation, financial modeling, and market analysis with the goal of working in venture capital focused on gaming and interactive media. I want to help founders and studios build sustainable businesses that move the industry forward.

Gaming has been a major part of my life for over a decade. I’ve played Counter-Strike competitively at a high level for more than ten years, and I’m also a huge fan of League of Legends, Call of Duty, and the Borderlands series.

Looking ahead, I want to continue combining my background in finance with my lifelong passion for gaming, working with the people and ideas shaping where the industry goes next. My goal is simple: to stay curious, stay involved, and help build the future of interactive entertainment in whatever way I can.
